Chanticleers eager to get season started
Coastal opens practice today

CONWAY -- If the offseason was any barometer, Coastal Carolina's men's basketball team is destined to have an interesting season.
It remains to be seen whether the Chanticleers' offseason soap opera - players coming, going and returning and coaches coming and going - will lead to wins, but Coastal is certainly ready to leave the drama behind. The Chants get that chance today with the opening of preseason practice.
"I'm just ready to get the season started," guard Mario Edwards said. "[The offseason] was crazy, but I think it worked out pretty good."
