AL
New York vs. Minnesota, Yankees lead series 2-0
Boston vs. Los Angeles, Angels lead series 1-0
NL
Philadelphia vs. Colorado, series even at 1-1
Los Angeles vs. St. Louis, Dodgers lead series 2-0
Absolutely brutal call tonight that cost the Twins a lead in extra innings. In the top of the 11th, Joe Mauer hit a ball down the left field line. The left fielder got a glove on it and it landed 3-6 inches inside the foul line then bounced into the stands. It should have been a ground rule double. The umpire was right there on the left field line and called foul. Mauer proceeded to single in the at bat. The next batter singled to right field, but Mauer could not advance past second because he had to wait for the ball to go in front of him. The following batter hit a single up the middle. Mauer would have easily scored if he had been on second. The Yankees got three quick outs with a line drive to the first baseman, a dribbler to the pitcher, and a fly ball to CF.
Mark Texeira led off the bottom of the 11th with a walk off line drive homerun down the left field line that bounced over the top of the wall.
I don't care who wins this series, but I don't like to see an umpire blow a call that could impact an entire season.

twins left 17 on base, at least that's what they said on the broadcast. they had plenty of chances to win it at other times but simply couldn't get the job done.

Those outfield umpires they have for playoff games are worthless. Year after year I see them blow calls, and they only have to make 1 or 2 a game.

Since the Braves aren't in the post season this year i could care less as long as the stankees don't win. There is probably no franchise in the history of sport that I despise more than the one that resides in the Bronx. with that being said. Go National league.

managed to stay awake to see the whole thing. Werth just jacked the krap outta the ball and Victorino was about 12" from having his second as well.
Bullpen was decent too apart from Madsen's scare in the 8th

Does anyone else think it is ironic that Utley's pop-up to right went over the fence for the first run of the Series? It's not like the Yankees have been doing that all year or anything...
