Is Bowden out at FSU?

They seem to be piling on and officials are now doing it publicly. This could get ugly. Bobby was the factor that turned that program around, but he seems to be caught up in the battle for wins vs. Joe Paterno. I like the man but have rooted against his teams over the last two decades. I hate to see it end this way.

I don't think they'll force him out, but honestly, how can he possibly be the problem? Have you watched any of their games this year, he doesn't even do anything. He's got other guys doing all the coaching, he looks more like a guy with a visitor badge lurking the sidelines.

If he's not coaching and letting other people fail at it, then he is the problem because he's doing a poor job leading a football program.

If anything, Bowden does more at practices than he does at games. His co-odinators usually make the calls unless its a tough call then he'll make it.
But I think it's a bit premature to call for his head. I mean, you lose by 1 against Miami (a team that knocked off OU) and then the next week they ROUTED BYU @ BYU a week after BYU beat OU @ OU.
Sure the South Florida game was brutal, but the guy is still getting wins and they'll make a bowl game this year.
Honestly, I think his contract is up after this year anyways, so just let then man finish out and let Jimbo take over next year. Voila!

This honestly might be one of the most confusing coaching moves since Tim Floyd was hired to coach the Bulls a year after coaching a losing season at Iowa state. It's a real shame thaBo Bimbo Fisher is already been picked as the "chosen" one to replace Bobby? He was actually deemed this title couple of years back after replacing Jeff. If the Noles have been struggling the past couple of years, why would you reward the OffCord? Is playing calling is questionable at times as well. Bobby lets him and Mickey both run that team. It's interesting as well next year with the Noles being slated to play Samford, which is Bobby Bowden's alma matter, as well as him and Bimbo both coaching there in their career. I'm suprised Mark Richt's name has been thrown in here to come back to Tally. The SEC competition is unbelievable week after week and he would have much easier time beating up on those teams from that glorified high school league

Sounds to me like OU is either overrated or sorely misses their Heisman QB. I think that they are overrated but that will just upset SlyFox when they march into Dallas and kick some longhorn tail.

This is probably part of their thinking. Fisher is owed a lot of money at the end of next season if he is not the head coach. If they don't force the situation, it will cost the University $5,000,000.00. If they fire Bowden at the end of the season, they face a PR nightmare for pushing him out after all he has done for the school and program. Either way, it is a no win situation for the FSU.
