Well college basketball will start up pretty soon and former Flame BJ Jenkins will be playing at Murray State. How do you think he will do?

I used to try and follow him on Twitter out of curiosity. Now I wonder how he lasted as long at LU as he did.

I look forward to seeing him do well at Murray.

He had a couple of nice drives int he 1st half but really doesn't look like he's significantly upped his game in the year off. The Racers were hanging with Cal but I've lost interest.

He's a starter for a team that's picked to finish 1st or 2nd in the OVC. I'd say that's pretty good.

A backcourt of Jesse Sander+BJ Jenkins bumps us a couple slots up in our conference (think 5th to 3rd). But obviously now it's a moot point.

2 guard: Jeremy Anderson > BJ Jenkins

Let's not kid ourselves. BJ is a very good player. And it's kinda hard to compare BJ with JA as they have 2 completely different games. I think comparing Evan Gordon and BJ would be more appropriate, but we don't know how good Evan is or will be.

BJ played well apparently, scoring 16, with 4 assists and 6 boards. So did the Racers; hanging tough with 13th ranked Cal.

Doesn't matter. He didn't want to be here. We need to be all about the kids who do.

Agreed, but it doesn't hurt anything if I pull for BJ.

Sidenote: Cal is #12 :D

I was friends with BJ. I'll continue to pull for him. It doesn't matter if he didn't like Liberty. He did nothing for me to think that I shouldn't continue to pull for him. It made me happy to see him do well.

I'm not sure if McKay gave him a chance here:

STARTERS MIN FGM-A 3PM-A FTM-A OREB REB AST STL BLK TO PF PTS
B.J. Jenkins, G 30 6-10 4-7 0-0 2 6 4 0 2 2 2 16

Not a bad stat line against the 12th team in the country!!!

Do we have to start this up again? We had a VERY thorough discussion of this when he left. BJ is talented. BJ had some stat lines like that when he was here........ a few that were even better. He also had entire games when he virtually disappeared. There is no way anyone can say he wasn't given a chance. He played like 33 minutes a game as a Sophomore. Most of those who know him personally seem to feel his reasons for leaving were not basketball related. Personally, I think his friends here who have a personal interest in following his career have better places they can discuss it. Facebook anyone?
