Even as a Duke fan, this still creeps me out.

Take a look. (Scroll down to bottom of page.)

HAH...who woulda thunk it...
If I could change one thing about NCAA Basketball I would… allow transfers to play right away and not have to sit out.

then people would just be transferring every year to win a championship or to get playing time, basically the schools would become even bigger whores to the athletes.

If I could change a rule it would be that players named Seth Curry have to eat rabbit turds for breakfast.

Curry is an idiot. Liked that he chose us and he is a good player - just not as good as he thinks he is!! I hate that he is going to one of my favorite teams - Duke has always been about team and Curry is all about Curry. Let's see if Coach K gives him the ability to jack up 30 bricks a game???

I chose Duke because… of a lot of reasons — The big stage all the time, playing for Coach K, playing with the best every day
Too soon...it still hurts. Crybaby

At what point do we let this go? The kid decided he didn't need/want Liberty, so let him go. Tough to argue that most wouldn't have made the same type of decision to improve their careers. I can't imagine calling him an idiot for making that decision does much more than to reflect poorly upon LU.

college coaches often choose to not renew a kid's scholarship if they are underperforming or not fulfilling their perceived obligations. How can we say a kid has no rights conversely if he/she overachieves to the point of being able to improve their athletic and/or academic circumstances, provided they are willing to pay the NCAA-mandated penalty of sitting out of competition for one year??

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think this comment had anything to do with Curry's actions toward (or rather away from) LU. I think everything being said here has everything to do with his profile on that site. I mean really. Did you read it? :dramaqueen

That's what I meant - Thanks Scorcho for looking out for me. Not blaming the guy for leaving us - I know it's hard to pass up. I'm just shocked at how he is handling himself now... I don't care if I'm the best at anything, I'm not running around telling everyone I'm the best - I prove it and then hope that my accomplishments are recognized by my peers.

Team?? Maybe his teams of the 90's, but not lately.

I submit to you four years of Redick, JJ...or perhaps what K told recruit/UF commit Austin Rivers this past weekend, "If you(Austin Rivers) come to Duke, we will build our offense around you"....

Nay, I think K sold Curry on the idea of giving him the green light. Given Curry's outlook on himself, I can see why he took the bait.

All coaches say that - I'm sure Coach K will work around some talented people as he did with Laettner, Hurley, Hill, etc..., but even though Redick took a lot of shots in his system - he also shot over 41% from three. Curry shot 34%. He was a great player, when Duke really didn't have any others with him. I would still say that Coach K plays a team game.

On a side note - I'm not sure if Austin is going to be that good, and he too seems like a ball hog - so hopefully he will stay committed to Florida.

I think Curry is a great player, but K has let great players rot on his bench for the last 8-10 years while keeping his rotation thin, all because their defense wasn't up to snuff. It seems crazy but when he got some freshman garbage time, I thought Pocius was going to be a dominant player. A player with his athleticism barely played after that, on a team desperate for someone else who could jump.

Pocius could jump out of the gym but couldn't do much else. He couldn't gaurd SuperJon, was extremely streaky as a shooter and was out of control most of the time.

Duke needs some athletes, sure, but not at the sake of terrible defense. Curry won't average 20 in the ACC but he'll log 10-15 minutes a game and be an effective shooter off the bench. It was still an extremely dumb move by Seth but he'll get a chance to contribute.

Unless you're the rare objective parent.

I just broke up with him on facebook. I can't stand seeing that stuff pop up. I saw an LU student say something about him making a good decision, and that was the final straw. I don't know why it took me so long.
