He's not out yet... fractured rib. Reid said he might play next week, or might be out 2-4 weeks. We'll see. And even if he is out, Kolb would play next week. That sucks. Nobody wants to see Kolb in the home opener.

I do. Kevin's a great guy who might flourish if ever given a real chance.

Where did he go to school again?
Ohhhh, that's right.
(Hint for those who don't know: It's in the same state that a certain Fox is from.)

Didn't want the hint to be too obvious.
Just pointing out the Texan biases that might be present. Kolb seems to be a bit lost on an NFL field, from what I have seen. On a college field, however, he was incredible.

i bet they'll resign AJ Feeley for next week at least, if McNabb can't go. I say they get Jeff Garcia back.... ha, better him than kolb.

+1 and to add, it doesn't matter who we sign of we don't put pressure on Drew Brees.

Why is Kolb on the team if they would sign somebody else so they didn't have to play him?

I think McNabb will still play, but I called this last night...

Reid would be a moron to play McNabb this early in the season with a fractured rib. Sit him a couple of weeks. It's too early to get your starting QB injured for the whole season. Two weeks aren't that important to risk, especially when they're the first three weeks of the season.

Every week McNabb sits out, Eagle fans will start calling for Vick.
And what happens if Kolb fails this week, and Vick sees some time behind center next week, and happens to move the football pretty well?
McNabb is fighting for his job, IMO. Not because he's not worthy of being the starting QB but because Vick is sitting on the sidelines and fans are going to be itching to see him in the game.

It doesn't matter how well Vick plays, when McNabb is back to 100 percent healthy or close to it, he is the starter, Vick won't steal his job.

agreed this doesn't become and issue until 2010. Vick has to learn a complex offense that Andy Reid runs and the likelyhood of that happening this year is slim to none. He will be great in the one off plays but not good behind center every play.
