Holy friggin crap, you've got to be kidding me. The Braves just freaking traded Wilson Betemit. Yes, the same night that Chipper screwed his back up again. What the tick were they thinking? Trade Marcus Giles, not Betemit. Man, I'm ticked.

i would not have made the trade, but im not a GM, and you can't argue with schuerholz. baez provides needed set-up help for wickman. pitiching is the braves achillies heel, and if they can get some help take it. hitting has not been the problem. with all that said, i still do not think they will get the wild-card, and that sucks, but you can't win every year.

True...not a great trade. I am having a hard time feeling sorry for you though...I'm a Cubs fan. Need I say more?

The Braves bullpen is 14th in the league in ERA. The GM did what he had to do. This isn't quite up to par to the McGriff deal many moons ago, but this will certainly help them.

I know. I had a conversation at lunch yesterday with another Braves fan about questioning the GM and then him proving me wrong. I just think Marcus Giles was insanely underachieving and Wilson Betemit was one of the Braves' best players. Especially with Chipper going down again, the Braves needed Betemit more than ever.

It's not going to matter what the Braves do, the Marlins are winning the wild card.
