This is hard for me to say but I think I just became a season ticket holder for LU. I was at the LU game today and I come to a lot of LU games. However, my sister and I have a season ticket s to UVA games and she told me tonight that it was an embarrassment. This being said I am excited about where we are going and think that my sister and I will be switching over our season tickets to LU. Of course this is unless Coach Rocco all of a sudden becomes the next head coach of UVA

Lets all hope that is not the case.

I think someone else needs to play horrible UVa....DUKE. I am listening to the game right now, and they are losing to RICHMOND at HOME, 24-9. TWENTY-FOUR TO NINE. Oh boy...Man, I'm sad to say that I am actually laughing because it is so bad. I love Duke, but seriously...

maybe so, but I don't think firing a coach during the season leads to many good things...its an off season decision in my opinion...but he should've been fired a long time ago

And keeping a guy employed at an ACC program that loses to William & Mary leads to good things?

You only fire a head coach during the year if you have an assistant on the staff who you think can do a better job. Otherwise, you are pretty much writing off the season, since won't be able to bring in someone from outside til the off season anyway.

The saving grace for LU-Rocco today might be that, even though they performed well at WVU, Richmond actually one-upped them on the list of FCS schools in VA.

Two words: Mike London.
If he wants it...

My concern would be in how those two guys would interview.
Incidentally the FCS/I-AA performances across the board today against the Big Boys has been impressive. A bunch of near misses in addition to the Tribe & Spiders upsets.

Should be quite interesting. Hard to fire Groh until end of season, which gives A LOT of time for speculation.

Alot of the alumni would be upset with either London or Rocco. They're both Groh guys. I doubt either one gets a serious look.

I am surprised he has been there this long. They have had talent the last few years but they really haven't had a whole lot of success.

On the surface, I might agree with you. But they're both proven winners and up-and-comers. Beyond that, DR is a Coughlin guy, not a Groh guy. (There is a difference.)
If theyare interested, both will be considered. But ML is their top right now. You can trust me on that.

He may be. I would be surprised if London left this soon though.

I dont see UVA taking a shot at Rocco. I think Mike London is the guy that they would go after. First of all I dont see any proven coaches taking that job. I have watched them for the past 4 or 5 years and been to 75% of the home games. I mean UVA is just getting hammered in recruiting in state. I think the alumni would revolt if they hired another christian at the helm of their football and basketball programs. Plus they think they are way better than everyone else and if they hire 3 liberty coaches within a year that would be too bruising for their ego.

Groh must (still) GO!

You can fire a coach during the season....it just depends on who's waiting to coach.
Carolina did this a few years ago, & they picked up Butch Davis. Bunting coached his last few games as a fired coach.

Rocco is here to stay. Why would he leave? He makes good money and LU will continue to make sure he is well payed. He is getting a brand new stadium. He has great support from the administration and fans. His kids are here. His family is here. His job is secure. He has the ability to be part of something that could make history. He could be a legend here, he could be a has-been anywhere else after a couple bad seasons.
I also agree with everyone else - UVA will want nothing to do with a Groh product...
