having a rough start to the MBB season already

not that it makes the situation a whole heckuva lot better, but this kid has never set foot inside of a classroom at ccu. sure it comes across as yet another black eye for the athletics programs, but i've got a problem calling this guy a ccu player as the headline suggests when this incident happened in the kid's hometown before he even becomes a student at coastal. but then again...he is a coastal recruit and he is listed as a current player on the roster.

reading stories like this so often in the last 18 months or so sure does tick me off that i walked on to 2 athletics teams at coastal and am still paying off student loans 10 years later while these (insert obscenity here) are given free rides and can't get their acts together.

and that's why you don't post an updated roster until everyone makes it to campus to start the school year at least...

It sounds like Ellis is wanting to give this kid every chance possible to still be on the team.

Anyway it can't be any worse than the track coach getting suspended a week for a DUI.

Good Example: a coach with a DUI

And Better Example: The University only suspended him for a week. But don't worry, "Coastal Athletic Director Moose Koegel said the university never considered firing Jacobs."

OK, so he is caught driving drunk and the university basically says they are ok with that by only suspending him ONE WEEK? In my opinion he should be fired. You should not have a coach, much less a professor, who was caught breaking the law. Oh well. Not my problem.
