Why is Kallander handing Bomberger his wallet?

BJ, just FYI: its neither the SID or AMR office. Rather, it is the Athletics Communications office. No biggie though. I don't even think there was an official announcement.

By the way, anyone else catch the other LU connection to that list?

SID is the industry standard title, so that's what most people go with and that's how most people in the field that I know call themselves, unless it's in a situation that requires the use of their formal title.

The industry has changed drastically since that terminology was first used, and it is still changing, which is why for the past decade the names of these types of departments have been changing. Especially at the D-I level, these individuals no longer function within a strict information or media relations capacity. Therefore, the moniker doesn't fit. Hence, the change of many to offices of Athletics Communications. It is a title which encapsulates all of the standard industry responsibilties.

You are absolutely correct, BJ. Congrats, Ryan!!

Ps - the other LU connection is Mike Montoro, who also makes an appearance further down that list in the article. Mike's doing a fantastic job at WVU now.

Speaking of Mike, he hasn't been on here in quite awhile. Perhaps he has to lay low until after the season opener.
