United States-based Ghanaian striker Joshua Boateng will be in Europe for the next few weeks while on trial with Spanish First Division club Deportivo de La Coruña.

The 22-year-old former Liberty Professionals player, who plays City Stars in the USL, is expected to spend two weeks in Spain.

Boateng went on trial in Europe after his junior season at Liberty University in Virginia but declined offers in order to return to the States to finish his degree.

Now a rookie in the USL, Boateng's debut season has included a team-leading four goals in 11 matches.

Congrats to Joshua! Just to be looked at by La Liga teams is an awesome accomplishment. Also, if he doesn't make the team he should now be garnering some more attention from other European Leagues
