TOM WATSON is in the lead?
I guess Jack Nicklaus really was holding that guy back...

Day 2 and Tom Watson is in a tie for the lead at -5. Tiger has struggled and may not make the cut. He is currently +7 (T-107) with four holes to play.
John Daly is a surprise that will stick around for the weekend. He is at even par in a T-21. Will he blow up?

Tom Watson is still in the lead after two rounds. Good for him. I'll have a reason to watch the rest of the Open now.

I don't follow golf at all, but DC said tonight that Tiger didn't make the cut.

Tom Watson is leading by 1 going into Sunday. Rooting hard for him tomorrow!

Agreed. A win would certainly be the biggest sports story of the year.

I second that. Really looking foward to watching tomorrow. Of Course I was last year too and Norman laid an egg on the final day. At least it gives us something to watch with No Tiger.

Too bad John Daly wasn't farther up the leaderboard. Just don't look directly at his pants!

Tom Watson bogeyed two of his first three holes. Lee Westwood (most famous for juuuuust missing out on the Rocco / Tiger playoff last year) eagled hole seven to take a two stroke lead.

Holy cow. Watson had a one-shot lead going into the 18th, and sent his approach shot juuuust a little too long. He bogeyed and is headed for a 4-hole playoff.
Let's go Tom!

Stewart Cink is a cool guy and a committed believer-so even though a Watson win would have made a great story...I am pretty excited for Stew!

I'd be excited if he takes his newly-found villain status and really trumps it up, and starts pretending that he's the guy from Caddyshack or Shooter McGavin.
