For the those who watch or enjoy the game of soccer, who do you root for?
I'm starting to get into the MLS. I need something other baseball and golf to get me through the summer. While I know its not of the level of the Premier league I still find it exciting.
My team is the Colorado Rapids as for the MLS but my other team is Man U.

I am a huge DC United fan. I have been watching them since they first came into the MLS. Still have never been to a game but might by making the DC VS Real Madrid game in August.

Its been the Chicago Fire, but now I also have to root for the sounders, just because I remember going to sounders games as a kid when they were semi-pro, forget what the league was called.

The Sounders were USL if I'm not mistaken.
I'm a DC United fan.

Colorado Rapids for me for MLS, althought I also like Seattle. Arsenal, Ajax, and Real Madrid are my foreign teams.

always DC United. the fans are great and the atmosphere solid though RFK is a dump. im not sure of your age rueful, but the first seatlle sounders team was in the NASL, then as SJ said in the USL first division.

The new Seattle Sounders just started this year. He would have seen the USL team. They started in 1994. The oldest form of the Sounders was around in the 70's and early 80's (and rueful isn't that old.)

Yeah, I can only get into international soccer for some reason. Maybe it's because soccer is only fun to watch if you have a vested interest in one of the teams. Like I can't watch any of the European leagues or MLS because I don't really care about any of those teams and it just seems very boring to me. But I would stay up all night to watch the US get panned by Argentina in a friendly.

I was the same way. I just decided to pick a team and completely sell out to them. That's what I did with Liverpool and DC United. It's more fun that way.

Revolution all the way. I go a few times a year to their games at Gillette Stadium. Also, I'm a huge Barcelona and Liverpool supporter as well.

I was at the MLS cup final last year in D.C. Great showing by the Dynamo. Since there is no team in Atlanta I go with United.

You have a great team in Atlanta that plays in the USL called the SilverBacks. Great program and it has a womans side as well. Again they play in the USL but the soccer is just as good if not better at times than the MLS.

oh i know the Silverbacks well. I used to play in their youth program. The stadium we have down here is on par with most MLS teams. I'm surprised at how many people know and follow the USL. The women's team folded and then started back up. The Beat were a great team. I don't know how they've been doing since the league started again.

I used to follow the USL back when we had a local team. But that completely disappeared, so I could care less now.

I haven't followed the USL in awhile just looked and saw that Atlanta has suspended operations this season to "re-evaluate" the soccer landscape in Atlanta. So much for that.
