I can't believe Arizona offered him their job, let alone Memphis heavily courting him. Can you imagine if he had taken either, and then something like this hit the fan after signing the contract? Wow!

That happens all the time...thats why the majority of coach's leave on their own so these things wont hit them but rather the school

Except in the case of Kelvin Sampson. I foresee the NCAA being much harsher in future cases, punishing on basis of failure in program oversight by a coach.

It's just dumb that a coach can walk away after "cheating" the system and face no retribution while the school is left with penalties and probations. They need to start hitting these coaches with fines and bans in order to make it stop.
