I was going to make an opening night thread, but I figured we should just start a season long thread, keep things neater for the board.
Opening night tonight, Braves and Phils... the Braves fan in me is excited and hopeful.

DEAR PHILLIES,
WELCOME BACK TO THE 1990'S, WHERE YOU WILL BOW DOWN AND LOOK UP TO US FROM YOUR KNEES AS YOU ARE EATING THE CRAP STUCK BETWEEN OUR CLEATS.
SIGNED,
JEFF FRANCOEUR, BRIAN MCCANN AND JORDAN SCHAFER.

Calm down big boy. It's a long season. I love the enthusiasm, but pace yourself.

Dear Atlanta,
You didn't have enough offense last year, and that was with a half-season of Mark Teixeira. You're relying on top production from Jeff Francouer, who was so ineffective at the plate last year that management sent him down to AA. Please stop pestering the rest of the contenders in the National League East with your delusions of grandeur, at least until you acquire Jake Peavy.
Signed,
The New York Mets

Dear whmattews.....i would be bitter as well with around a dozen division championship and only one WS to show for it....If you think you would have had this success against 70% of Cole Hamels, your as dumb as the crap in your cleats.
Signed WS Champs.....P.S your wasting my air.

RF, I expected a better reply out of you. I really did. Something along the lines of:
Dear Braves,
These rings are nice.
Signed,
The Phillies.

Sj i would respond with this.
Dear Phil fans,
Enjoy the rings. we felt bad about your lack of a major championship since 1983. So we decided to suck last year just for you. Don't expect the same treatment this year.
Love,
The Braves

Dear Everyone,
Have fun fighting over who makes the World Series from the inferior league.
The AL Champion Rays will be waiting to beat you down.
Love,
The Red Sox, who will lose to the Rays in the ALCS again.

Dear Phillies, Braves, and Mets...
Keep ignoring the Marlins...then in October as you guys are watching the Fish win the World Series, you'll see Hanley Ramirez holding the World Series MVP trophy and you'll say to yourselves, "where did those guys come from"?
Just a quick timeline reminder:
1991 - MLB owners name the Marlins one of the new expansion teams...
...Six years later...
1997 - Marlins win the World Series
...Six years later...
2003 - Marlins win the World Series
...Six years later...
2009 - Marlins finalize their new stadium (finally) and will win another World Series
Consider yourselves warned..
The Florida Marlins

Dear Marlins Fans, (yes all 3 of you)
Fill your stadium to capacity on at least 2 times this year. Find some more fans and Go 15 years straight into the playoffs then we'll be impressed.
Love,
Braves fans

I was talking about the Fish winning the World Series...doesn't matter to me how many butts are in the seats...I watch baseball to see what happens on the field, not to see how many people are in the stadium.
