UNC-A Hires Hubbard as Tennis Coach

ASHEVILLE — UNC Asheville athletics director Janet Cone announced the hiring of Larry Hubbard as the school’s men’s and women’s tennis coach.
Hubbard was interim coach for both sports last spring after former coach Kavan Hahn resigned at the end of the fall season. Hubbard came to UNCA after coaching the men’s program at Liberty for six years. Hahn also created the Flame’s first women’s program in 2000.
He is a certified USPTR and USPTA tennis professional and was the director of tennis and head tennis pro at Peakland Swim and Tennis Club in Lynchburg, Va., for 10 years.
