VT just lost at home to Baylor in the NIT 84-66. It wasn't really that close. Baylor was ahead by as much as 28. Is this more embarassing than Radford losing by 43 to the Tar Heels?

Hopefully MIKE Greenburg is doing well with his "sheet of integrity".

Less embarassing. Baylor is coached by one of the Drew family. It was only a matter of time before they got better.

less. It's the NIT, how can it be embarrassing if no one cares about it?

I say more. People expect Carolina to crush Radford. Carolina has a much larger fan base. Never has a 16 seed beat a 1 seed. Radford's competition isn't as tough as UNC. It's not a big surprise - if Carolina loses to Radford, is the first 1 seed to lose to a 16 seed, especially when so many people picked them for the final four - it's embarrasing. Va Tech losing at home in the NIT? Not as embarrasing as a NCAA tournament loss is - but they're an ACC team, and they lost at home, to Baylor, who is usually not a powerhouse in anything (that matters).

I take it from that disclaimer that you are aware of their #1 ranked equestrian team. :)

Baylor also has a very strong track and field program. I don't know if I would call them a powerhouse, but they certainly have had some dominant athletes. That guy Michael Johnson was pretty good, wasn't he?

well, only if you call domination of the 200 and 400 for the better part of a decade pretty good...

id say he was maybe average at best...
