I think kobe bryant is a better olayer than lebron, but one of my friends is saying lebron is better. His argument is lebron is stronger and can dunk better. Can someone else help convince him that kobe is the better player, or convince me that Lebron is better?

both players are in different levels of their career.

defensively, i'll take james over bryant. james used to look lost. now he doesn't.

offensively? james has the #'s. in the clutch though, bryant is hard to overlook but james is no slouch. i think james does a better job of taking over a game and involving teammates when they are losing and i think they overcome more losses because of it. when the lakers are losing kobe just trys to score more and they still end up losing...

just some observations...i don't know the numbers but i bet that the cavs win more when james scores more points and that the lakers lose more when kobe scores more points..

The only time Im taking Kobe is if I need a 3 at the end of the game... Other than that Lebron is a monster and does it all, To me Kobe doesnt compare

LeBron's current season ranks 3rd in single season PER (player efficiency rating). For his career he ranks 5th. Kobe's single best season is 46th, his career PER is 15th.

over the last five years, guess which player has made the most game winning shots, defined as "Game Winning Shot Opportunity = 24 seconds or less left in the game, team with the ball is either tied or down by 1 to 2 points"? if you said lebron, you would be correct. he also has the 4th most made game winning FTs, and is second in assists on game-winning baskets. Kobe also leads the NBA in the same time span in most game winning opportunity missed shots.

LeBron is the best as far as making crappy players look decent...Kobe has much better talent around him and should be winning like he is....but LeBron...come on, the Cavs roster would be absolutely nothing without him...I think the Lakers could still make the playoffs without Kobe...just not go very deep...the Cavs would be lost without LeBron...

but when it comes to big shots...Kobe has got LeBron beat that is for sure

After Lebron's last few games, he's getting the nod from me. He's picked it up big time on defense.

dwade is good, but he is still figuring out how to make others around him better...that is what truly defines a great one...he'll figure it out though

as of right now though, he is not on the same level as lebron or kobe...getting there though

But they don't suck. They're 4th in the East.
