Our favorite conference, the CAA, is going to call a meeting to see if a 14-team football league is possible:

Also noticed this at the end:
Charlotte announced four months ago that it intends to launch a football program in 2013, if the school can raise sufficient funds. Yeager said he has not heard from Charlotte representatives about any interest they may have in the Colonial. -- John O'Connor

With a 14-team league, the committee could possibly give them 7 bids.

They are too greedy to not want to keep all 14 teams together. But a split would make a lot of sense.

It's simple. 2 divisions. Conference championship game.

I know let us start making jokes of the CAA

Now let us pose this question...what happens when VCU adds a football program? The president that has been holding back the idea off having football is gone and you hava an AD that is and ACC guy that would love to add a football program. Then you would in reality have 15 schools with football by the year 2015. Where would some of these programs go? I would love to see Richmond, JMU, W&M, ODU and Liberty start a conference. I know this is wishful thinking but how about UVA and VT entering the mix :D But in reality we could have a Virginia/North Carolina Conference in D1AA that would rank very high in overall athletics in the COUNTRY if we could mangage something like this.

Dear CAA South,

Secede from the Union that is the CAA and form your own southern republic known as the Southern States Conference AKA the SSC.
For the sake of travel costs and getting out of the evil empire of the CAA.

Georgia state
JMU
Liberty
Richmond
W&M
USC Upstate
Charlotte
ODU
GW
Coastal
CSU
VMI
just to name a few that could be in the new conference.

This has been a cry from LU for a long time...except many feel like a GOOD conference could be created with Virginia only schools....the VaConn...that would be elite
