This was a shocker. I say it's time for a change in Denver. Mike will get a job very quickly and do well. I guess his 22000 sq ft house will be for sale soon! Best of luck Mike, thanks for the memories.

Yeah, something had to happen. I love Shanahan but it just wasn't happening. Sad day.

Wow...looks to me like you try to keep him on in some aspect rather than "fire" him....tough way to go out for a guy who made them what they are (were)

he didn't do much after davis and elway....went a little more than .500 since then. and only 1 playoff win. i like him but something needs to be changed...

ESPN reporting that Kansas City has fired Herm Edwards and are close to a deal with Shanahan to take over the Chiefs.
This ^^ is what (we) Denver fans look like right now.

They will be great on offense and suck on defense. Should make for some high scoring games! I wonder if he will still get paid by the Broncos if he takes that job?

I'm not sure how much Thig will be affecting much of anything next season in KC.
