You can tell it's summer time because the annual debate over whether or not Coastal should change their mascot is going on. It's getting pretty heated. Interesting read in case you're bored.

that, the MBB coaching thing, and Bob Doyle inciting the young and fearless over on the Winthop board have provided hours of entertainment lately.

Why change their mascot. Are they afraid they are offending the native american chicken population?? Or are they tired of the choking chicken references?

I'm sure hearing Chantiqueers gets old after the 10,000th time.

Chanticleer is a pretty gay word. But the actual mascot is pretty cool, I think. It shows their relationship to USC while still being unique.

I love the Chanticleer name. The logo is kind of funny because, as was pointed out to me by some drunk people last year at a football game, it looks like there's a giant scrotum underneathe the chin. They need to keep the same name in my opinion.
