How about Florida downing Alabama 31-20. looks like, homeschooler Tim Tebow has his team in position for a national title game.

and hopefully missouri can beat oklahoma to cause the bcs computers to go into a coma.

That one's not looking too likely. It's 38-7 now and we're not even at halftime.

OU wins 62-21 and becomes the first team to score 60 points in 5 straight games (the prior game was 58 points of which 55 were in the first half).

It looks like a Florida - Oklahoma national championship game. It will probably also come down to Tim Tebow or Sam Bradford for the Heisman.

Colt and the boys from Austin will be some others take home the hardware this year (*)




* - I live in Oklahoma and I'm happy that OU won, but I would not have lost sleep if they did not win tonight or if they do not win the national championship. I just wanted to pour a little salt in Sly's wounds.

The whole process is a joke. Stoops leaves his starters in until the final horn to run up the score on opponents and gets rewarded for it. No class whatsoever. What an absolute mess. I'm now actually hoping that the Longhorns will at least win the AP national championship. They certainly are deserving of the #1 ranking right now and there will be more than a few protest voters wanting to make the system look bad like they did with USC the year LSU beat OU in the other BCS disaster that led to a split title.

Is anyone in the least surprised by the Gators' showing in this game. We got the best coach in FBS football down here.

OK...so the #1 BCS team gets upset by the #4 BCS team...with the #3 team not playing. Texas was ahead at .940 to UF's .820. Everyone was talking about the SEC winner going automatically into the title game...but I don't see it that cut and dry. Of course, OK-UF is the game ESPN wants to see so they hyped it up all week.

Well, what are the other options? Oklahoma vs. Texas? Oklahoma vs. Alabama? That'd begin the chorus of people screaming that you shouldn't play for the national championship if you didn't win your conference (of which I am one of them).

So Ed you are a big proponent of the computer polls deciding our national champ. Because that decided the Big XII title.

At this point, I'd be happy with the Horns collecting the AP national championship. And that remains a real possibility.

I'm not a fan of the computer polls. No one is. I don't like how Texas got shafted by all this. But that's the way it is. Given that, the participants in the national championship game should be clear. The SEC and the Big XII champs should square off. Alabama lost its chance because they lost their conference championship. A computer might have them rank higher than Florida, but my objective mind says Florida should be in the national championship game.

Oklahoma won the Big XII, even though they probably shouldn't have been in that game. I don't agree with it, but they won, so they earned a slot in the game.

BTW, I guarantee that Florida will win.

Considering the fact that the Horns have Ohio State and will probably blast the Buckeys to kingdom come, and if Florida/Oklahoma is a tight game, then I can see the Horns winning the AP title.

The best two teams at this point in time got in.

I'm not sure how you can make that statement, Nick. There is nothing to back that up. The Longhorns have been dominant to close out the season as well.

I think Texas has a better case over Florida AND OK. Florida lost to stinking Ole Miss. That is a horrible loss compared to the Horns' loss at Texas Tech. It is not the BCS fault that Texas is not in...it is the Big 12's fault for the lousy tie-breaker.

I love all the stupid Texas fans that say they should be in because they beat Oklahoma yet they forget they lost to Texas Tech who Oklahoma killed. It was a three way tie, not a two-way tie.

OK had the top rated FBS schedule.
OK blew out the team that beat Texas.
OK beat # 7, 11, 13 and 14, the Big East champs and a good TCU team.

Sure, maybe Texas got screwed with the tiebreaker, but OK and UF are the hot teams right now. The BCS game should be a shootout.

The SEC has a better system...to where if teams are within 5 spots of each other in the BCS...it reverts to head-to-head.

In any case, I will always believe that one reason the BCS exists is to get people talking and arguing about college football. We could argue all day and night about which two of the three belong in the game. The "Plus One" makes the most sense to me.
