A co-worker had just put that picture on my desk. Very funny.

I like the lamp. My wife has one at home but won't let me put it out. It was a gag gift.

There is a guy who got a copyright or something on that lamp design and has done pretty well for himself making and selling them. I heard him talking about it on the radio once.

It seems odd that the photoshopper added that lamp in there. It had been destroyed by the point in the movie where he finally got the gun.

You're right about the lamp being poor "continuity" (cinematic term), but for purposes of a gag shot where you want people to think of the movie, it makes sense. There are 3 things people probably remember most about that movie: the Red Ryder air rifle, the leg lamp, and the kid getting his tongue frozen to the lamp post. They got 2 of them in there.
