Clemson chose Swinney as their head coach! I am excited about this. What do you think?

I didnt like him much after watching him his first game...but that was just an attitude stand point...with his pregame speech and his pregame comments it was like someone who was "faking it" like the kid on the high school team that pretends to hustle...but his wins speak for themselves and the team responds to him, so what do I know

We saw how the assistant turned interim coach turned head coach worked for WVU... and Stewart had a lot more experience than good old Dabo.

Can't say that I think this is a good move for the Tigers, but I could be proven wrong.

He's never been a head Coach or a Coordinator in the past. Dude might have been around football, but he is to coaching college football as Barack Obama is to the Presidency.

Coaching history:

1996-2008: Wide Receivers Coach

That's it.

He did some recruiting, too. So I guess that's worth a little. Still, I think this is a worse hire than Bill Stewart at WVU.

did anyone else here his pregame speech to the team in the locker room? I felt embarrassed for him...I dont know if he ever played college football or not but it just spewed "I'm a guy just trying to fit in with the athletes" Like one of these guys that when they see an athlete across the room they'll walk over, not say anything but just stand near them...lol...like that makes them more of an athlete or something

Why do you say a bad choice?

I like this move as well as Kiffin because it keeps dominoes from falling that might affect us. And yes, our coach was on Clemson's radar.

Dabo is one of the best recruiters in the country. He's done a good job so far and I think he'll have Clemson soaring soon enough.

*Breathes sigh of relief*
This means Bud Foster is still the defensive coordinator at Virginia Tech.

No head coaching experience, also you have recruits waiting to see if Clemson is going to bring in a big time head coach. If I was a recruit and you got some WR coach being head coach, I would pass on Clemson. What kind of offense is he going to run, etc, too many questions, to be answered. CJ Spillar will probably go pro is my guess.
I don't like asst coach promoted to HC when a team is losing or not making expectations.
Anyway this reminds me of UNC promoting DC Carl Torbush to HC.

BTW Dabo just canned his DC as of today, Koenning is out
