Vic Hall scores on a 40-yard touchdown run. Cavs up 7-0.

Hall was pretty much unstoppable as a QB in HS.

Just when it looked like Tech's defense had figured out the "WildCav", Hall busts loose for another TD.

Another Vic Hall touchdown (and a missed VT field goal), so the score stands 14-7 with about 3 minutes before halftime.

14-14 going to the 4th. this has been a very good game with both teams using a "wildcat" formation that has worked.

That would be "wildcav" or "wild turkey".

Virginia intercepted in the end zone. Looks like a 3-point Hokie victory in Blacksburg. :frustrated

Well after beating Miami 48-0 in the Orange Bowl and winning ACC Coach of the Year last season, it would've been extremely difficult at that time. Now though, it'll be interesting to see if Groh is still in CVille.

one can only wish postie...i am hoping they will not extend the option on his contract which they will announce next week, and he will have one year to improve. plus he has a huge buyout. the administration will look at how dreadful they were and then the middle of the season turnaround, and then the three game losing streak to end the seaon plus 1-8 or 9 vs. the hokies. to me that is grounds for dismissal, but it wont happen. oh well...it is what it is.

Hall said it was the "HooCat."

The announcers on ESPN were calling it wildcav. Actually, I made up the wild turkey thing as a joke, but apparently that's actually what they call it.

As a name for a football formation, it makes pretty good bourbon.
