UVA is beating Syracuse in the Carrier Dome almost halftime. Sure wouldn't hurt us for UVA to get the win.

this would be a gingantic disappointment for syracuse. they were looking like a major player after their past few games, but struggling with UV freaking A, are you serious?

syracuse getting their act together now, UVA lead is down to just 3 with 10 minutes left to force a UVA timeout

syracuse with a 2 point lead with 7:52 remaining.
also, rather UVA wins or loses this game, it will improve their RPI since syracuse is pretty good, so that would also improve LU's rpi due to SOS.

I don't blame them, the Big East is a murderer's row of a conference.

Who cares about how it effects us? We beat UVA, but we still have to win our tournament to get into the big dance. It's not like the win impresses a selection committee.

True, but it does impact our seeding if we win the tournament.

It would help with RPI, and that win would look better for us just for simple bragging rights amongst other fans the better UVA looks. But if UVA finishes 7-23 and last in the ACC, then big deal.

nah...come on, they could go 0-30 in the ACC and its still a big deal! Any win over a ACC school matters!

I know, from our standpoint regardless of how UVA ends up it's a good win, but other schools when look at that win as a big deal.

With the way the Big South is performing in non-conference action, I'll be amazed if the conference champ isn't in the play-in game.

I'd take that bet. Normally, there's at least 1 or 2 upsets in the bottom 6 or 7 conferences where a team with a losing record gets in the big dance. For example, when UNC-A won the Big South a few years ago as a 5 seed in the conference, and was thus in the play in game.
