Vince Redd might play tomorrow vs. Miami . . . . according to his facebook status!! WOOHOO!!!! Go Vince!!!

The Patriots have made a roster move today, placing LB Eric Alexander on season-ending injured reserve and promoting OLB Vince Redd from the practice squad.

Alexander has played in only one game this season, the season opener against the Chiefs. A reserve whose primary contributions have come on special teams, he has been limited by a hamstring injury this season.

Redd, a rookie from Liberty, has been on the team's practice squad all season. He originally signed with the team as a free agent after going undrafted in April.

He played some on special teams and a few defensive snaps in the last minute of the game (He looks like he's packed on some solid weight.) At one point in the third quarter, I believe, he was right next to Belichick as the CBS camera zoomed in and he got probably 5 or 6 seconds of the big 49 and nameplate on the TV screen as Bill was handing out some defensive pointers to the LBer corps.

Rookie linebacker Vince Redd made his NFL debut today, seeing his first career game action on a first-quarter punt return. Redd was signed to the Patriots’ active roster from their practice squad on Saturday, Nov. 22.
