Keys to the game: UK turned the ball over 25 times while VMI jsut 15 times. VMI 14-31 from three, UK 3-16. UK 22-33 from FT, VMI 27-35. 6 VMI players in double figures, T. Holmes with 30 and Gabriel with 20. Meeks had 39 for UK while Perry Stevenson had 20 and 14 with four blocks.

VWI was VERY impressive I thought. Aggressive towards the basket, pressure/full court defense.

yes, they were shooting lights out for most of the night, of course a good bit of the time they were getting easy baskets. regardless, VMI deserved to win the game and UK will just have to grow a pair and start playing college basketball. us and other UK fans can cite all the stats and make excuses and whatnot all they want, but the simple fact of the matter is that kentucky gout outplayed on both ends of the floor and it wasn't even close - if it's hadn't have been for that stretch where kentucky held VMI without a field goal for nearly 5 minutes the final score would have been a blowout.

not sure where last year comes into the equation here since this a VMI game thread from the 2008-09 season, not 2007-08...
