Ron Prince apparently is resigning as Kansas State football coach less than three seasons into an attempt to return the program to national prominence.

The Kansas City Star, citing two sources close to the situations reported on its Web site Wednesday that Prince is expected to announce his resignation this afternoon after meeting with players.
