Derek Anderson...benched.

BEREA, Ohio -- Quarterback Derek Anderson has been benched by the Cleveland Browns, who will start popular backup Brady Quinn on Thursday night against the Denver Broncos.

The switch was confirmed Monday by the team, just hours after coach Romeo Crennel said he had no plans to make a change.

Should be an easy first career start against the Broncos defense. He'll light them up.

Yay!! I've been following him since his senior at Notre Dame. Just watching him and WR Jeff Samardzija.....they were an amazing duo. We're getting our new plasma TV on Wednesday and will christen it by watching the Browns game Thursday nite!! Woohoo! I'm so excited!
