'Skins and the Election

I heard a stat the other day that when the 'Skins win in their last home game before an election, the incumbent party stays in office. If they lose, the challenging party takes office. This has happened in the past 17/17 elections.
What does that tell you?
Root for the 'Skins.

I'm a Skins fan but this so-called predictor has a major flaw: The Skins didn't even win their last home game before the last election. They lost to the Packers at home on Oct. 31, 2004. So much for that theory.

They also lost in '88 but G. H. W. Bush won keeping the Whitehouse after Reagan.

They beat New Orleans on November 6 at home in 1988.

My bad. I was watching ESPN and they said that '88 and '04 were the only times that this didn't come true.

It should have come true in '04, but those darn republicans rigged the ballot boxes in Ohio to steal the election and allowed their Halliburton cronies another four years at advancing their neo-con agenda. So in essence, the Redskins Rule is still in effect.

I heard 16 of the last 17 this was true. Whatever. Almost every time. Hate the Redskins, might be rooting for them a little bit tonight.
