...I woke up this morning and felt as if the world was a little bit more d------baggy today.
Then I checked on ESPN.com and saw the Phillies won the World Series.
Yep, that's it.

So are you a Cubs fan? You should be due to the fact the Mets are just the Cubs-east coast. Choke down the stretch, year after year.

3 1/2 game lead in Sept. Yep, that's the Mets once again.
(at least your roster is filled with a lot of young, healthy talent for next year - Pedro, Wagner etc)

Let Philly Fan enjoy their moment in the sun. They only get them twice every century or so. Even Florida laughs at them.

I dont know if we are such an aging team that jokes are valid, but whatever. A joke about our relievers is always warranted though.

1st Phillies championship: 1929
Start of the Great Depression: 1929
2nd Phillies championship: 1980
2nd longest recession in American history: 1980
3rd Phillies championship: Oct. 29, 2008...
uh oh. By the way, today we found that our GDP shrunk last quarter for the first time in years...

Until what? Westbrook is out for the season with a sprained pinky and McNabb graduates from the Vlade Divac school of bounce passes?
Please.

Vlade Divac... now there's a name I haven't heard since I was 12 and played NBA Jam on Super Nintendo.

Are you serious dude? Once was more than enough on that picture. I like it more when you don't post. Maybe you can crawl back under your Philly Can't Win The Big One rock and hide for a while until the Flyers win in 2032.

........
The Mets make it a close race by choking.

Funny, the pic fit both times, though.

Wow, personal insults always make people look more intelligent. Good job.
Again, nothing personal against TB. Played hard, and kept it close, especially considering how Pena and Longoria
hitters in their lineup didn't do squat until game 5. Maddon is a class act who is the right fit in TB. Now, here's hoping
the sudden popularity of the team sticks around for more than 2 weeks in April. (See "Marlins, Florida")

It wasn't so much a personal insult as a "wishing you didn't post so much". I consider it more of a preference than an insult.
And posting the same, over sized picture of a random crying baby doesn't make you look intelligent, either.
And this has nothing to do with the Rays. I conceded defeat on Monday.

What championship did the Phillies win in 1929? A year where they finished 9 games below .500 in 5th place of their division.

It's no secret that I'm a Cubs fan. I want them to win just like any other fan wants their team to win. They didn't (Congrats again to the Phillies for their win). I move on. Maybe some of you should do the same.
If you are that bitter about this, you should be clinging to your guns and your religion.

2. I hope John McCain will start calling me "Cole the Pitcher."
1. Now maybe I'll get to appear on Leno? *
