UNC Asheville senior Kenny George had part of his right foot amputated, a source confirmed to ESPN.com.

The source said the amputation, which occurred three weeks ago, was the result of George's battle with MRSA, a difficult to treat and sometimes life-threatening antibiotic-resistant staph infection.

Prayers for this young man, and if doesn't know the Lord as his Saviour may he know him.

Man, it's hard to fathom all of the things that he has gone through in his life with his size and health. Hopefully he can recover from this surgery enough to at least be able to finish his degree and succeed in whatever direction he wants to take his life.

I think it was graphic design or something like that. I'm definitely pulling for the guy.
