That's a real purty log-in screen.
Hmmmmmmm........you shouldn't have to login in on scout.com just to read the message board.
1440 AM Noon Round Table reporter Doug Amos claims to have been in touch with higher-ups, and he now states that he"believes CTT will not be AU coach next year, and the change will be mutual, and occur before season's end." Will be negotiation process, he says, regarding 6 Mil buy-out. Amos was a print/ TV reporter before radio, so he does have some contacts w/AU people.

........................

I have 0 insider information, but like Glenn Beck, I can think. I would be doubtful that Tuberville would even be a candidate for the Clemson job. The complaints about Tuberville are eerily similar to the ones about Tommy Bowden. Certainly, I think CTT is a better coach, and he has had more success, but they are not looking for another coach who tends to lose random games.

On the other hand, there were comments last year that he wanted to let his staff get vested in the state retirement system (I think that is 10 years) and now they have. That might mean he will not feel bad letting some people go, or it might mean he will be happy to pick up and go somewhere else. I just think it is funny people still act like he is going to pack up and leave in the middle of the night like he did to Ole Miss after 10 years.

As for a mutual decision to leave, if you thought you were going to get fired, and would then be eligible for $6 million, would YOU decide on your own to just walk away? Buyouts are good things, but they can create strange incentives.

The Clemson list begins and ends with Johnson, the coach at Vandy.

Even though he got a contract extension at some point in the past two years...it would not surprise me to see Fulmer axed at Tennessee.

Johnson was passed over twice before, IIRC. He may have an axe to grind now.

Fulmer gets an extension this year as well if the Vols go 8-4.
"If UT wins eight games, Fulmer gets a bonus year added to his most recent contract, which was finalized this summer. Call it Christmas in July."
