HPU gets commitment from Jay Canty. Canty, a 6'6" sf is rated in the top 150 in the country with an immeasurable upside. He was also one of the most sought after underclassmen in the country. This is a major recruiting get for HPU as Canty is probably the highest rated player ever to commit to HPU.

Mr Lundy needs another AZ to keep his job and if it sticks he may have found him.

I think that coach has already found, not another AZ, but the best new class in the conference and believe me it isn't even close. The team that will hit the floor at the Millis in 4 days is the longest and most athletic team in the Big South.

I appreciate your passion, panfan. Even if it at times tends to be a tad over the top.

longest means absolutely nothing if they don't do anything with it, so pardon me if I don't fall into the HPU hype machine.

Once again, HPU will be all excited about the potential for a conference championship, but fail to win in the Vines Center and get ousted in the conference tournament.

Panfan's favorite time of year is the pre-season. He tends to disappear during the actual season. I wonder why?

I wonder which teams will disappear early on this year? My guess would be, only a few. Most teams are relying heavily on newcomers this season. Should be interesting.

Why is that you think that I disappear during the season, I don't. The preseason is a time to express expectations and the season is a time to perform and results replace talk and expectations. HPU does in fact have the best incoming talent in the conference. The recruiting analysts say that wu has the best incoming true freshman talent, and lu has the 3rd best incoming true freshman talent. I personally think that HPU has the best incoming true freshman talent but even so wu would be a close second followed by lu. These are facts not cheap talk or hyperbole. Both lu and wu are small, HPU is , by Big South standards, very tall and athletic. These are my expectations and I expect HPU to be the best team in the conference by seasons end.

Notice it's not the tall, athletic teams that win i.e. Winthrop and VMI
