of course it is.....hes gonna have two years left. I have mixed views about the whole situation especially after seeing him play in person and his whole attitude about life and football but I thought there would be more responses on this....what do the fans of our football team think?

I've seen him stand cluelessly in the pocket too much (last and this year). I have no interest. He has a cannon for an arm but doesn't seem to be quick to THINK (on or off the field).

not every fbs transfer dominates at the fcs level... i remember without mentioning names a failed expirement of the karcher days that involved a transfer so highly touted by hancock that they announced the transfer and flashed his pic and name on the screen during a mens basketball game...that was followed up by a handful of lack luster starts before they closed the book on em

Lack luster is too kind...

that was my first thought, as well

I wasn't aware of the BB scoreboard hoopla, but in my recollection, Paul Troth (ECU QB) was probably the most ballyhood transfer we have had prior to Vince. Going back further Antoine Chiles was also hyped pretty well, and lived up to it a lot better.

At this point, I'd bet Jameel Seweel is Studying like mad!

Daily Progress agrees: http://weblogs.dailypress.com/sports/co ... l_sew.html
If Jameel Sewell ever needed any further motivation to get his academics in gear, he just got it from Peter Lalich

it was paul troth...if my memory serves me correctly the vines center videoboard incident was around the same time as the mel gibson hysteria of that year...admittedly i bought in to all the hype surrounding troth, but that was following a season that was one of the more frustrating on record in my opinion (first road game road trip was the jmu loss, then i was on hand for the blown call at the end of the game at gardner webb mix that in with the weather delay loss to ysu and it was welcome news to hear of troth)

Yeah, we have Mike Brown, Spencer Landis, and Colt Brennan's little brother! haha.

you could've stopped after mike brown 8)

Not really. You need at least 3 viable QBs in a legit program, and although I am excited about what Mike brings to the table too, the fact that he is going to take off and run a lot will increase the likelihood of injury.

False...

Fact: Mike Brown has titanium in his blood. He doesn't get injured!

Besides Lalich seems to have a lot in common with this guy:

The correct order is we have Spencer Landis, Mike Brown, and Tyler Brennan.

Spencer is the #2 quarterback. If Brock goes down, or we're up where we can pull him, Spencer goes in.

That's this years depth chart, but I believe the discussion was about next year, and between Spring practice and fall preseason, I am sure there will be competition for the starting job. I can't imagine that Rocco is just going to hand it to Landis.

I'm sure there will be competition, but if you watch the two, Spencer is much further along in terms of a pure quarterback. Don't get me wrong, Mike can play and can create plays and needs to be on the field, but Spencer is the better quarterback.

Everyone is already giving Spencer the same disrespect they give Brock now.

I love it. People just don't get it sometimes.

It's because Mike is a dynamic athlete and the dual threat quarterback is the trend right now.

And most people haven't paid enough attention to Spencer to even know what they're talking about with him. Most people had never seen Mike Brown take a snap at quarterback until the fourth quarter of the Glenville State game but people had hyped him up a ton. They're both good, but if you watch them, you'll see that if you need someone to run the offense you put 15 in, if you need someone to make a play you put 10 in.
