CHARLOTTE, N.C. – VMI quarterback Tim Maypray (Madisonville, Ky.) and Coastal Carolina defensive back Dominique Davenport (Bonaire, Ga.) have been named the Big South football Choice Hotels Offensive Player of the Week and New Balance Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, for games played in week two, it was announced today by the Conference office. In addition, Charleston Southern’s Gerald Stevenson (Naples, Fla.) was named Special Teams Player of the Week, while Stony Brook running back Edwin Gowins (Bellport, N.Y.) was tabbed Freshman of the Week for the second-straight week.

Agreed. But it would be rather easy to argue him for offensive player of the week against Maypray who really didn't do that much especially as a quarterback.

Maypray cracked 100 on 10 carries and scored twice all in his first ever start at QB. I don't have a problem with that.
