there was an overwhelming sense that there was no room for me among this year’s group of quarterbacks; whether in a starting, competing or a backup role. No matter what I did or said, there seemed to be a unified message from teams that I was not welcome to compete for one of the many jobs that were available at the quarterback position.

I think this statement says more than anything else about why he doesn't have a job.

It should have said " The decision i made in 2006 to represent myself, has devalued me as a player to the point where i am worthless....thus i am retiring...."

Randy Moss made my career and now I' claiming I'm not getting a fair shake. Hopefully I've saved some of my money.

Good riddance. He needed Moss and Chris Carter to produce--without top wideouts, he was flat-out awful.
