A Coastal Carolina freshman football player has been suspended from the university after he was charged with simple assault and battery following an on-campus incident last night.

Jeremy Demetrius Harden, a freshman defensive lineman from Hamlet, N.C., was booked at J. Reuben Long Detention Center at 1 a.m. this morning by campus police and later released, jail records show.

Sounds like the Chants need to change their uni colors from teal to bright orange.
