The "rumors" BYD is referring to is that he and I have heard from several people this is a done deal. This dates back to our tweet @Flames_Nation from April 7th where we quoted one source: Liberty & the Sun Belt deal "has come to details, most of those details have to do with TV rights." We've heard the same off and on continually since that time.

We've never heard anything to dispute that during this rollercoaster. I guess we'll find out in a few days...

I'll believe it when someone tweets it and BJ verifies its validity.

My 2 cents? Some Eastern member(s) wanted UMass in the mix. I still think others will block them because they are in outer Mongolia. Who knows, but my guess is both LU and UMass will come up for a vote.

draw your own conclusions from that- as in; does a vote come to fruition if there is any doubt of concensus?

or would it simply be delayed/cancelled if a straw poll shows inadequate support?

Is it true that they do NOT vote if there is not enough yes votes, as stated on SBC boards time and again? If what you say is true, Conjecture would lead us to assume we have the necessary yes votes.

Although, it seems silly to refrain from a "vote" one way or the other.

The has always contended LU has a majority of votes. Whether we have the Super Majority at this point and what UMASS brings in unknown. IMO, UMASS will be a no go. LU brings stability. UMASS brings....who knows what
