thank you LUminary haha. Good luck to you too... well kinda :D

I thought Prototype was going to stomp me. But it seemed his guys just weren't hitting the ball at all. It's just frustrating sometimes when that happens. There's nothing you can really do about it.

Yeah - I thought I had a chance, but the boys didn't show up this week. You made some pretty nice pickups as well. I'll be pulling for my fellow Rays fan...

I think you have a great chance of surviving an off night. Injuries are killing my offensive numbers. I'd like to replace a couple of offensive guys but I need to save my adds to combat your pitching. I think I lost only three series' all year (one to you), but I'm working on the fourth. I'm not feeling too good about this one.

I actually ended up as good (if not better) than you last night because your players slumped big time at the end. It always amazes me how in some nights, all the players get the hits, and then others, it's the pitchers who dominate.

Didn't get a good start out of Ian Kennedy, but Edwin Jackson made up for it. I've got Kershaw and Latos today, so I'm pretty confident as far as pitching goes.

Please don't combat my pitching :D

I would drop Desmond Jennings but I think a spot start would be much more valuable. I'm stuck with the fact that all the pitchers I spot-started last week have terrible matches this week.

The shocker right now is that you're beating me in stolen bases. Although I'm pretty sure that will change.

Oh, I will combat your pitching. Ha. I'm just not sure who's going to be out there available for me to do it with. I haven't looked that far ahead to plot a course yet. Nice pick up with Jackson. You beat me to him. I should have dropped Storen earlier and snagged him but waited too long. I snoozed and loozed. My offense is hurting, just in terms of sheer at-bat opportunities with Troy Tulo hurting, and Jones hurting/slumping and my catcher taking an ill-timed day off. And the fact my average was more dismal than yours last night. Crud. I'm in deep trouble on offense. I will need a couple of BIG days. You are right about the steals. I figured that was a gimme your way. I have a challenge for sure.

Well, Kershaw acting like a fool last night helped you out :D

Pitching in the fantasy world can be overrated. There's always tons of good waiver pickups, and preferable matchups. That's why I focused more on everyday players in the draft. I think only 3 of my pitchers are on my team that I had in the beginning (kershaw, garcia, and bailey).

Yeah you're getting pretty unlucky on offense. We all have those weeks. They are frustrating. Pitching you can change. Hitting you can't. You've clearly got the better team than me.

My surprise has been the power my team has. I really struggled in the HR category during the season but seem to have found my stride lately. Mike Napoli was the best pickup, especially with Mauer being pretty iffy all year.

A little hint here: the reason I picked up Mauer so high in the draft is that he plays nearly everyday. NL catchers are no good because they sit almost every day game. That adds up to over 30 games they miss during a regular season. Avila is a great catcher, but the DH is clearly Victor Martinez (plus Jim Leyland likes to rest his players)

Nice pitching numbers by your guys last night. I'm having to roll the dice a bit, and just hope my ERA doesn't explode. I felt better about my chances yesterday. Not so good today. Either way, it's been a fun series. Nice chess match.

You're going to win. I'm pretty sure of it. But just in case a miracle happens I won't concede it just yet.

No, actually I don't think I am going to win. The pressure is on my remaining pitchers now, and it's hard to beat a 2.95 ERA. Your pitching has been outstanding and I've felt the last two days it was going to come down to ERA. I doubt I can catch you in total bases, so I'm going to have steal ERA or WHIP and that's going to be tough. Probably best I can hope for is a 7-7 split at this point. BTW, who gets the tiebreaker? I won the regular season but I think you actually have me head-to-head (we split two meetings but you are up 15-11-2 in games). But I don't think it's going to matter. I think you'll win this one outright.

Not sure what the tiebreaker rules are. Keep in mind that K's, wins, and quality starts will very likely flip to your category. Also, I was so obsessed with the JMU game that I forgot to take my closer's out so if they blew a save they wouldn't jack up my ERA. Bailey, as usual, made me pay for that mistake. Iim not sure what's wrong with him this year.

I think a tie is pretty likely. I'll see what the tiebreaker rules are when I get a chance.

Another surprise has been me beating you in OPS. Not by the long ball, but with how much my players have been taking walks this week. Which is the only reason the runs category is so lopsided.

I looked for a white-flag smilie but couldn't find one, but, anyhow, congratulations. Great series. I enjoyed it (well, except for the outcome). Second in the football league last year and now runner-up in baseball. I guess I'm the Buffalo Bills of FlamesFans leagues. Funny thing is I did get the ERA, but HRs and RBIs did me in. I vote Eric Aybar MVP. Those two homers today did in any chance I had. Oh well, there's always next year. Good job! :clapping

Yeah, Aybar had been playing underneath his potential all year. But he showed up for me on the most important day of the year. Congrats to you for owning the regular season. I know its only a consolation but your record was outstanding. I knew all along it would come down to both of us. And its very rare your guys get held to a .220 average.

Based on that only 3 of us seemed to be really be playing, no doubt you may have your shot at revenge next year!

So, thanks for the kind words, and I apprechiate a good fight for the championship.

Don't sweat it. It's a grind to keep up with every day. Baseball is my favorite sport, but, as far as Fantasy ball, I'll take football hands down because you don't have to set a lineup every day.

That's what I love about baseball actually. With football, I know I usually don't pay attention until just before 1PM. With baseball, you've got to try to keep on top of your team. Quite frankly I get bored during the summer off from school (when I'm not at work) and its fun to grab the computer, open up game tracker, and follow my players via the extra innings package.

TTL do you still want to commish? I know Third isn't around here anymore so we might have to recruit some new teams.

Yeah I just wasn't sure how it would work with keeper leagues. What's unfortunate is that people just leave.
