blwal I think alot has to do with the amount of talent UNC has right now...5 NBA players compared to maybe a few on St...so I can see where they are coming from

St has to work a lot harder to get the same outcome that looks easy at times for UNC

The game will be decided in the first ten minutes. If UNC gets out to an early 8+ point lead, it's over. If Michigan State can keep it close, the crowd is going to really get into it. Carolina is a streaky team (but it's a hot streak for 90% of the game). If the game is close, UNC gets cold and lets its foot off the gas pedal (like it did against Villanova, when the 'cats cut it to five; like it did against Oklahoma when UNC couldn't put them away until the end; like it did against LSU when the Tigers took an eight-point lead in the second half), and MSU capitalizes, they'll win.

It's either going to be a 12+ point UNC win, or an MSU win. That's my $.02.

I have never seen a team perform better than the Tar Heels, on any level. It's not that they have better athletes (which they do, even MSU admits this), for some reason they're able to anticipate what MSU is about to do and jump on it. I've never seen a team react better.

One more half to go.

Hey Seth Curry, if you wanted a ring, you should have went to Carolina.

Yeah, because I am sure they're going to be equally as dominant without the two guys on your signature...

Ummm....they will in a few years. They have another top class coming in next year. Oh, & a bunch of people said the same thing you just did after everyone on the '05 team left for the NBA.

Nova has a top 5 class coming in. But, losing cunningham sucks. UNC is getting 2 huge twin whiteys. I hope they suck.

Still a bunch of unknowns at this point. Just because you were good after one year of losing a bunch of NBA'ers doesn't mean you get a free pass to do it again. Let's be real here.

If you think Carolina is going to roll over & just be happy that they won a championship, not go out & work hard to get back there...I don't know what to tell you. I'm not saying they will be national champs in X amount of years, but I am saying they will put themselves in a position to give themselves a chance. They will continue to finish in near the top of the ACC & make nice runs in the national tournament.

No, I do not think that. I don't think they're going to just roll over. But working hard doesn't win the ACC. I am not taking shots at your boys. So chill. But the thought that, since you won this year, you will continue to win, is pretty absurd. I never even said anything to you, I was commenting on WHM guaranteeing a ring in the next couple years. When did I ever imply that UNC was lazy or would not try?

What WHM was saying is he thought Curry would have a better chance at getting a ring at Carolina vs. getting a ring at dook.

I think Carolina has a much better chance over the next four years to win a title than Duke does. Carolina uses their big men to do something other than screen for their guards. Duke has very good guys coming in, but the system they've been running the past few years isn't going to do well in the tournament.

That sounds like a guarantee of a ring, and he didn't mention Dook.

But whatever TarHoles. Just make me dislike you more.

Isn't mentioning where Seth went an automatic mention of Duke?

Michigan St should have done us all a favor and lost on Friday. Sure, they played better than UConn, but UConn would have done better against UNC. UNLV/Duke II?

No, he's a student at Liberty.

And he never said "you have a better chance at a ring", he said "want a ring". There's a difference.

Depends on what Gerald Henderson does. If G goes pro, Duke's in trouble...they will be left with 3 scholarship guards (Scheyer, Smith and Elliot Williams). That would be quite the change from previous years, eh?

I think K finally sitting down with Wall was more so out of desperation than anything else. Whether or not Duke remains in contention for a NC is completely dependent on if Henderson comes back...IMO.

UNC is returning their Big Man Ed Davis, plus they're bringing in the #2, #13, & #14 Power Forwards in high school. Tyler Zeller was also highly rated coming out of high school, but I just don't see it from him.

Carolina also brought in the #6 & #7 SG; Freshman Larry Drew was one of the best HS point guards in the nation last year.

Duke is bringing only two next year, the #2 center and the #4 PF. One other, the top point guard in the nation, has Duke at the top of his list.

All that to say... both look to be strong in the next few years (provided no one jumps ship). The difference between the two (other than one being a two-time champion in the last five years and the other happens to be a breeding ground for douchebaggery) is that Carolina plays a more athletic game; Duke plays more of a system.

Also, Carolina is high on John Wall's list. Although, I don't really want him at UNC, there is no denying his athletic ability. He's a "one-and-done" wherever he goes. But, I know he did not come away impressed with dook.

And Carolina puts 5 guys on the floor that can get their own shot. Duke had Henderson, Scheyer and Singler...no one else could make anything other than a layup. Hopefully, Ryan Kelly and little Plumlee will solve some of those problems.

Kansas, assuming it keeps a majority of it's players, is lining up to be another big threat next year as well.
