If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

UVA really did it with 3 pitchers . Jones , Waldell, and Sborz.. Granted Halsey came thru in game 2, but they rode 3 pitchers most of tournament . Hopefully UVA's win will inspire LU to reach next level .

Congrats to the UVa fans on the board. This a big deal. I'm glad you guys get a little taste of what we regularly experience over our way.

Please, the last time a team from Texas won was in 2005. Texas won in 2005 and 2002, Rice in 2003. Unless you're suddenly getting all cozy with LSU...

I wonder was LU the only school in the nation to play both Baseball National Champion and Softball National Champion ?

The Eastern Time Zone essentially has two titles in the last decade and a half thanks to South Carolina's run a few years back. Only one team north of Columbia, SC in the Eastern Time Zone has ever won a title before this week ... and that was over six decades ago.

And for the record, I can get to LSU quicker than I can TCU. Houston also has the largest alumni base of LSU anywhere in the country ... including New Orleans & Baton Rouge. They also have a local radio affiliate here and are higher up the food chain of attention in the Bayou City than either UH or Rice. But inside your Downtown Dallas bubble that might be tough to recognize. YOu still think more people in Dallas care about SMU than UT or A&M.

Oh brother...all I will say is congratulations to UVa...and no one answered my question as to the last time the SEC was shut out in the "big 3" (football, basketball (men's and women's) and baseball) as far as national championships is concerned.

So more people in Houstonc are about LSU than UT-Austin, as we refer to it here in Dallas, the city symbolized by the STAR. I didn't say more people cared about SMU, but UT-Austin is far from dominant here.

Secondly, Texas is not in the Pacific time zone, Texas doesn't have LSU within the state or any SEC team until A&M joined :-p

The only people who care about Texas, with all due respect Sly, are people with the same complex as you who see it as the be all end all of everything. Just because somebody (probably a Texan) called it "God's Country" doesn't mean its perfect...beautiful? absolutely...but no need to turn your nose up at everybody else

Beautiful? Small parts of it might be but the parts I've seen leave much to be desired.

I really really want to move to Texas. Arizona or Nevada would also do nicely

Don't worry ... you all will be here eventually. It is inevitable.

AS for Atrain's rambling post about stars and Pacific Time Zones, it must be over my head.

The only thing that would get me there is orders. Thankfully I have some control over my next location and Texas is not even close to on the list. Spent 2 months in various locations and that was enough.
