If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

I agree with the above. They play with such energy - you almost forget they are a fifteen seed. It's a classic David vs. Goliath matchup in the Sweet-16. I heard FGCU's coach mentioning in a post-game interview that they tried to scrimmage Florida in the pre-season and Florida declined.

Between Duke/Michigan State, Indiana/Miami, and FGCU/Florida...the Sweet-16 is going to be a lot of fun.

One downside to this run by FGCU is that suddenly they are becoming a much higher profile commodity in realignment. As a non-football school, they are now likely to step up in Sun Belt expansion discussions. It is not a major threat to us right now. But it is worth monitoring.

Don't forget they did a FCS feasibility study just 2 years ago. They may not remain non-football for long.

i just enjoyed wisconsin losing. listening to these idiot analysts talk about them like they hadn't seen a minute of tape prior to their 3 last games was hilarious.

some of them had them going to the elite 8 and a couple in the final 4. LOL.

They don't have the land for a football stadium (at least on campus). They have too much protected wetland.

I want the FGCU run to continue, but Florida just seems like a really bad matchup to me, plus the whole having 3-4 days to have them thoroughly scouted doesn't help matters any. Yeah Georgetown had that too, but Georgetown is Georgetown, getting upset in the Tournament is their M.O.

Well that was a pitiful performance from Indiana. Looked like they didn't even know Syracuse would be running a zone.

Hard to believe Cody Zeller was ever in consideration for the #1 pick in this summer's draft. Does the guy even have a post move other than lower his shoulder into a defender and try to bowl through him while getting a homecourt whistle to bail him out? That works against non-athletes and when drawing an NBA star type favorable whistle, not under any other circumstances...

That's the first nor the last bonehead play Johnson will ever make. I like to call him the BJ Upton of basketball.
Johnson's shot to McGary's 'Johnson' started out the evening

Yep. I mean punching people in the balls was funny in, maybe 7th grade? I've always like Kansas as an adopted team (because growing up WV basketball was terrible) but I can't stand Johnson.

It happens. Seton Hall. Michigan. Providence. Etc
It doesn't happen with 12 year old schools in their 2nd year of tournament eligibility in a tiny, 1 bid conference.

Because there has never been a 12 year old school in their 2nd year of eligibility in a tiny 1 bid conference? I was just saying unlikely teams that get hot and surprise everyone
