I just think that the Jags get zero respect... not saying that Pittsburgh dosen't deserve any... I really think that Del Rio has got a good squad and is really doing a good job of building his empire down in jacksonville

I don't think any of us like the panthers. But they'll be in the playoffs. Who will get in over them?

Ok zealot boy...the Patriots were lucky to win their opener because Losman made one bad decision and they got that safety. Not to mention, if Gamble hadn't of tried that throwback, things may have been different in that game with the Vikings. Its only week 2 so why don't ya BACK OFF those projections. For all you know the Pats may go out and lost the next 10 games in a row and Carolina may not lose again. THAT, bro is why the NFL season is 16 games and not 2. Im upset about the fact that the Rams lost but Im not just gonna assume that they aren't gonna make the playoffs.

before i begin, I hate the patriots. I am a Dolphins fan and the Patriots annoy me every year...no matter what though you have to watch out for them every year...they didn't play so great the first 2 games yet won...they will always be a team to watch out for...I hate when people write them off because now I think we are doomed to see another impressive run...last season nobody wrote them off and looked what happend, they lost in the playoffs.....now people (besides boston people) are writing them off and their "bad wins"...I can never do that....because once you do, it lights a fire under them

As for the Panthers, I would dare say they will make the playoffs...but they better get better or THEY WILL be watching from home come playoff time...

as for the dolphins....needless to say the start of the season has been VERY disappointing...so Carolina fans, I feel your pain

boston soccer must be sipping some good tea! i think only scorcho is a true panthers fan here on the board, but i could be wrong. in any regard the pats will LOSE in the 1st round of the playoffs and the panthers will be in the playoffs too. winning the super bowl is all that matters, and the pats will NOT win the super bowl.

The Panthers will get it together, though I'm not sure to what extent. It's not going to be a losing season for them though. I'm not sure exactly what happened to take them out of their game, but if nothing else, Coach Fox will be able to put together a winning season. Given what I've seen so far, I guess that's what I should be hoping for from here on out.

Correction: I do know what took them out of their game. It's Steve Smith's injury. I just didn't expect it to have quite the effect that it did on them.

It all relies on Mr. Smith.

Well, I live in charlotte, so I'm a panthers fan. I bought the hype before the season, but now I'm not so sure. I don't even think Smith is the real reason, though he does have a big impact. Their O-line is awful right now, and unless that is corrected, it's going to be a long season.

I didn't believe the hype. I hate when the Panthers get a bunch of hype because they never live up to it. When they have no hype they do good.

Philly played as sloppy as you can and still win by a big margin, lucky they were in San Fran.

i think san fran can go to the playoffs this year.....it all hinges on gore staying healthy...which is doubtful

and i think they are a contender next year...

It is amazing how good teams can look one week then bad the next. Chicago looked like champions last night although not having Sean Alexander changes the way you have to play Seattle. The Bears, Seahawks and Eagles are the best in the NFC IMO. I think the Patriots really sent a message to the rest of the league and the Redskins/Jags game was surprisingly high scoring. The Skins are better than I thought. Colts just win every week this time of year so nothing new. Ravens are 4-0 but I don't believe in them just yet. All in all, this is why we love the NFL so much. Not sure what is gonna happen from week to week. I expect the Eagles to destroy Green Bay tonight but you never know.

This just in, the Bengals are in fact the '02-'04 colts and the patriots let them know that.

man that is strong Luconn. I don't know if I am willing to call them the Colts just yet. Although until one of those teams breaks through to the SuperBowl, the Colts and the Bengals will be considered just good regular season teams that can't beat the Patriots. I would hate to be in the AFC right now though. Lots of good teams, Denver, Jags, Colts, Pats, Bengals, Steelers (yes they are still the champs even at 1-2), San Diego, Baltimore. Even the Jets look like they would be a really good NFC team. There is just not a lot of impressive teams in the NFC to me. Atl, Carolina, Minn, New Orleans, Dallas, Washington, NYG are all considered decent teams but I don't think they can compete with the top 5 AFC teams. I think Seattle, Chicago and Philly are the teams to beat in the NFC right now.

I think we will be ready. Monday night football plus we are the better team. Then, on to the love fest with Jimmy Johnson on the Fox NFL Sunday show next Sunday. Did you see how our fans roasted him last time every time he was on screen? Plus TO is coming back to town. Should be nice and Dangerous down in South Philly next week! But first things first, we will take care of Green Bay tonight.
