Lane violation? It's frightening how bad these calls are. It's the kind of stuff that makes you wonder if the refs are betting on the game. You can't miss the goal tend or the lane violation if you're just competent at your job. Both were extremely obvious.

Clearly went off of Syracuse. Just unbelievable how intentionally the refs are giving this to Syracuse.

Asheville got screwed by the refs down the stretch. Ridiculously biased officiating.

I'd pull my team off the floor after the missed out of bounds play. The refs are directly responsible for the Syracuse win. If they get 3-4 simple calls right, UNCA wins the game.

Primm and Dickey are cocky as heck, but I feel for them.....a truck full of Vaseline wouldn't have helped ease the pain that the zebras bent them over and inflicted.....

If these refs hadn't have been gambling on the game, my pick of UNCA vs. Syracuse probably would have come true.

Tim Donaghy now looks likes a saint, at least he didn't blatantly screw over a team on national tv to earn his gambling money.

Add theft of an NCAA "Second" Round game to the list of violations piling up for Syracuse.

It never was anything special to begin with. There just are very, very few good shooting Big East teams to pick apart that zone. That's one reason why they never play anyone non-conference. That defense is a big reason why Jim Boeheim coached teams flame out in the first weekend fairly frequently, when you get to tournament time you have to play teams that can shoot.

VCU thinking about doing it again. I am actually pulling for them this time because one of my former students is a freshman on the team- #2 Briante Weber.

I'm pulling for VCU because I'm friends with their Quiz Bowl coach; plus, they are playing against Greg Marshall (aka, old purple face).

I've never seen every little thing go a team's way like VCU. I don't mean the refs, but I mean like the roll off the basket that sealed the deal. It just seems like every bounce goes their way. Fair and square though.

For those of you who were chiding me... was I right about UNCA losing? I never said by how much. I just said it was crazy to pick them. Almost doesn't count.

UNCA won that game. The 3-4 blatant "wrong" calls by the officials were enough to change the outcome. My bracket is glad the insanely corrupt NCAA made sure the top seed won, but that was a dirty and fraudulent situation as I've seen in basketball since the Lakers/Trailblazers "wrong" calls.

Were they crazy...not completely...history wasnt in their favor but you have to know that somebody is gonna pull off what I like to term the "ultimate bracket buster" one of these days...it wasnt UNCA this year but there's a reason why games arent decided on message boards and on bracket sheets...now that being said, you were right to say that UNCA wouldnt beat Syracuse jbock, but if not for Fab Melo being declared ineligible, I dont think there would have even been an inkling of a potential UNCA upset today.

Another potential huge comeback happening. Colorado's 20 point lead is down to 5 with 5:32 left in the game.

No, it wasn't. There were bad calls at the end, but the lane violation wasn't one of them. It was correct.

Guys in the blocks can move on the release. The rest of the guys BEHIND the 3 pt. line cannot cross the 3 pt. line until the ball hits the rim. It was a clear lane violation. They announcers were applying NBA rules in that situation, but this is college.

Maybe all the fans screaming about that one could look at Rule 9, Section 1, Article 2, Part g.

Also, at the end of the first half, syracuse got screwed out of 2 free throws. Ref started to raise his arm for the foul before the shot clock hit 0. The shot didn't count because his hand was still on the ball at 0 but the foul occurred before 0.

UNCA choked and the refs didn't help them.
