I'm relatively new to the board and am here mostly to learn what's going on. I didn't expect to run into fans from other universities, but that's been one of the most impressive things about the FF experience for me so far.

So how is Liberty more relevant?

Our no longer DI wrestling team wins? We get a couple good runners a year? We manage to win the Big South Tourney in a couple of sports now and then?

No, it's money, and a sense of entitlement.

I'd rather earn our "relevance" against Longwood in conference play, which we will get a chance to do.

LU is top-half of most Big South sports. But then again, the "irrelevant" schools you mention also get teams in the top half of any given sport in the Big South. There's no reason an "out to prove something" Longwood (or Campbell) can't, in a year or two, start kicking some teams (including Liberty) around.

In fact, if I didn't hate losing so much, I'd root for us to fail more often to get rid of this sense of entitlement and ridiculous expectations. "Hah, Longwood. We're going to play, and beat, ACC schools in football, who needs Longwood?"

Welcome to the conference, LU. That's their name, and we can use it. If you get confused, we can be LU and they can be LU. Or we can just refer to Liberty using the first person when we play/compare ourselves to them.

And when you go to a game at CSU, take a seat cushion if you plan to sit on the side opposite the scorer's table and benches. Splinters from the wooden pull-out bleachers hurt!

All you FF regulars should be offering sage pieces of advice such as these to the BSC newbie in the room. What other kinds of things about member schools should a new member know? Let's educate them!

Well that one is all on DL. It there were more community support and he was more charismatic then the community would write letters to the editor about The Great Cheese Controversy!

Judging by the tennis box score posted yesterday, in the head to head matchup the SID is going w/ "LW" for them and "LU" for us.
