He was hurt during the game. I have yet to make an excuse. I said I would've liked to see how things would've been had that not happened.

The biggest person to blame is WVU's punter. His coverage went to the left and he kicked to the right. Any team would run one back for a touchdown on a 26 yard punt away from coverage.

okay smooth you are clearly just a wvu hater...which is fine, but since when is someone getting hurt making up an excuse for losing??? A heck of a lot of people on this board think LU would have won the W&M game if Rashad wouldn't have gotten hurt, and I didn't see you bringing up his injury as a lame excuse for us losing. Ohh and Brohm started the two games before they played WVU so he's not really not injured anymore. And obviously you must not have ever played sports, because any athlete knows that no matter how injured you are you always play until your coach takes you out or you are completely unable to move up and down the field.

pbow, i could care less about WVU. it is pretty easy to you mounties all fired up. you in fact started running smack about WVU winning the national championship, and now they wont. i agree with you that the big east is better than the ACC. i have written this here on the boards...nice try buddy! and the W&M game, i never attributed our loss to injuries.if you were there, you know why we lost. so please pbow come to the table with something stronger than that. oh and the fact you say i never played any sports, well you do not know me, and i have no reason to prove anything to a bitter WVU fan, but for the record i was a pretty good athlete in high school, and had small college offers to play. you keep pulling for your mounties but be prepared to take it when you lose. remember you started the smack talk, and you really cannot take the pain of losing, thus you lash out at me hurling insults. you are too funny pbow, now go back in to your hole till next year and keep sippin that shine....umm kool-aid. i really can't stand cry babies.

Alright, guys, it's getting a little silly in here. Anyone who's been watching either of these teams this year objectively knows that these were two very good teams. And anyone who watched this game objectively saw that this was not a blowout. One very good team in West Virginia lost to another very good team in Louisville. West Virginia's problem is that they lack the punch-you-in-the-mouth defense that used to give better teams fits. Louisville continues to amaze me how they can be so dominant offensively without who would have been the second best running back in the country (behind Peterson). And Slaton is a legitimate Heisman candidate as a sophomore (I don't understand why the media is basically handing the thing to Troy Smith, without merit, but that's another discussion). But the biggest mistakes of the game that no one's talking about was the botched punt that was returned for a touchdown and the pathetic two-point conversion attempt. Those are what lost the game for West Virginia.
