TCU has played a relatively cupcake schedule outside of Baylor, but look at the scores. Plenty of points to give up to teams like UL-Monroe, BYU, etc.
so now garbage points matter? their only real bad showing has been that methodist school that played like alabama for 1 game in their existance.

giving up point in the teens are "plenty of points" lol. and byu is a good football team.

and now we are on easy defenses instead of pathetic. i wonder how much farther it will slide.

There's a reason why he's the only person here I have on ignore.

As far as the Skins yesterday, the best possible scenario is Beck playing decently (which he did) and the team losing even as the young players (Williams, Kerrigan, Riley, Austin, Montgomery, Cook, Hankerson, etc.) get experience and do well. That gives you experience for the guys brought in under Shanahan, and puts you in position to go QB in the 1st (with any of the 4 QBs), CB in the 2nd, and fill the rest of the draft with depth emphasizing OL and LB. That gets you 2 drafts into a legit rebuild with a couple of leftovers from the first Shanahan/Allen draft.

If the refs are even remotely competent then St. Louis would have been hit with 8-10 personal foul calls by that point and you wouldn't have a dirty player like Finnegan punching someone in the head after the play was over. Morgan did something stupid, but it was after a full game of cheap, dirty play from the Rams that should have been handled by the refs. No reason to cut Morgan at all as he was the least of the reasons why the Skins didn't pull this one off.

That's Finnigan's game though. And he executed perfectly.

The officiating was bad for both sides.

As for cutting Morgan, too much of a cap penalty. Just let it go for now. It's nothing new, just more creative ways to lose a game.

He ought to be benched. Take a look across the field at a head coach that knows accountability. Jackson made a similar boneheaded play by spiking the ball when he disagreed with a call and cost the Rams a chance at 7 points with a 15 yard penalty.

You know where Jackson, probably the Rams best player, found himself the rest of the game? On the bench.

This is the kind of garbage that the 'Skins have been putting up with for 20 years.

The sad thing is this wasn't the only boneheaded part of this play. He dashed to get out of bounds, leaving four yards and a potential first down on the field, rather than turning up and fighting for those extra yards, he killed the drive.

With an injury. Whoops, that's what actually happened. If the Fox H team announcers had bothered to ask the Rams about the status of Jackson, instead of assuming they knew, that's the answer they would have gotten.

No. The fox announcers said they had been told the Jackson had no injuries. If the Rams lied, that's their business, but I heard the announcers say it.

I find it highly unlikely that after he spiked the football, all the sudden he has a groin injury. Someone is not being honest.

Sadly, I did

I was born in Northern VA so I really didn't have a choice. Plus my extended family in West Virginia is all Cowboys fans, so I wanted to be the black sheep of the family :D

I know there's Cowboys fans everywhere (cough... bandwagon cough), but it's so funny how in Parkersburg there's a blend of Bengals, Browns, and Steelers.

Well for what it's worth, I have a dad from Chicago (Bears fan) and mom from DC (semi-Redskins fan), two sisters in TX (not football people at all but they deal with Dallas Cowboys fans on a daily basis) and me...Im a Rams fan. I signed on during Kurt Warner and the Greatest Show on Turf and havent left (I did get to pose with Sam Bradford's statue outside of Oklahoma Stadium when I went to visit my wife's family while we were dating). I do have a friend in choir who is a Redskins fan so it will be an interesting conversation at rehearsal on Wednesday
