luckily i was in the middle of nowhere in the great northern wilderness for the past week and a few days. i didn't have to watch the debacle that was the last 2 games of the cubs....

how terrible and embarassing.....can't say i didn't expect it.

Seriously, those were the worst 3 games of the season. Trust me, I watched or followed almost all of them. Of course they had to come 3 in a row in the playoffs.

Of course you cant say you didnt expect it, everyone did. Its the cubs.

Hopefully Hendry can make some off season pick ups to get us a little more power. The thing about the cubs this year is that there was always someone who was hot to cover for those slumping, unfortunately the last three games everyone was slumping except DeRosa. We need someone with a little more power and a little more consistent. And as much as I and everyone loves Wood, more often than not he made the last three outs far more interesting than they should have been. Someone on some cubs message board said to make Samardzija a starter, but hes too young, not ready, and I think hes great right where he is for now, but a more reliable closer and set up (Marmol was either hot or terrible) would help out alot.

Glad to see Harden get picked back up, but hopefully he can condition enough over the off season to handle a 5 day rotation again.
